Pressurised by family, Saba (Sanam Baloch) reluctantly gets married to Amaar (Ali Rehman), who seems to be an ideal match. But starting right on the wedding night, she begins to realise how vain, shallow and conceited her new husband is. Every now and then, she is tormented by his shallow remarks and mood swings, which mainly have to do with her appearance — for he has certainly married her for her looks and has no connection whatsoever with the person that she is. How long will this marriage survive if Saba lives perpetually in an annoyed state of mind?

Mera Rab Waris | Geo TV, Thursdays 8.00pm

Gradually, Ayesha (Madiha Imam) is converting Haaris (Danish Taimoor) into a religious man and he happily listens to every word she says. But his mum, sisters and brother-in-law Mazhar (Tipu Sharif) are majorly uncomfortable with Ayesha observing purdah. Tempers fray when Haaris catches Mazhar being a peeping Tom outside the room where Ayesha is sitting sans her niqaab. Throughly infuriated, and to his family’s further dismay, Haaris declares that he will never visit Mazhar’s house again, nor will Mazhar be allowed into their home.

What To Watch Out For

Babban Khala Ki Betiyaan | ARY, Sundays 10.00pm

A hilarious episode with Dolly’s elderly father-in-law (Khalid Zafar) getting married amidst song and dance. Siphoning cash out of the eager old man, shrewd but peppy neighbour Najma Aunty (Sameena Nazir) orchestrates the entire wedding at Basharat’s (Qavi Khan) house. While Dolly (Sana Fakhar) and Asad (Hassan Ahmed) were happy that the tyrannical father-in-law would now find a diversion in his new wife, poor Dolly hadn’t foreseen that her new mum-in-law, Zahida, would turn out to be a bigger tyrant than her father-in-law!
