HYDERABAD, Jan 13: The president, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Sindh chapter, Dr Noor Mohammad Memon has expressed satisfaction over the announcement by the Sindh health minister that the salaries of contract doctors would be raised by Rs1,000 per month and the specialist doctors would be promoted to grade-19.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that the longstanding demand of the PMA and the doctors’ community had been met.

He expressed hope that other problems of the doctors including the regularization of contract doctors, formulation of career structure of specialist doctors as well as the doctors of teaching cadres and lifting of ban on the entry of doctors in the Sindh health department secretariat would also be resolved at the earliest.
