HYDERABAD, Jan 13: Tribute was paid to Makhdoom Mohammad Zaman Talibul Moula for his services to Sindhi literature and the people at a literary gathering organized by the Bazm-i-Rooh Rehan here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the president of the organization and former vice chancellor, Shah Latif University Khairpur, Hameed Sindhi said that Makhdoom was one of the biggest spiritual leaders of Sindh but he did not believe in Piri-muridi.

As an individual, Makhdoom Talibul Moula was very compassionate person and his services to the Sindhi literature could not be forgotten, he added.

Comrade Jam Saqi said that the contribution of Talibul Moula towards Sindhi literature, especially poetry, could never be forgotten. He also rendered many services to the people of Sindh as a politician, he added.

A noted poet, Imdad Hussaini, referred to the controversy that had surrounded the Sindhi Adabi Board when Makhdoom was the head of the board and said that it was due to the vested interests of individuals and groups. He said at that time seven million rupees were lying in the account of the board.

The grandson of Makhdoom Talibul Moula, Makhdoom Habibullah, Parwano Bhatti, Madad Ali, Sarfaraz Rajar, Shah M. Karojo, Turab Daheri, Sarfaraz Nawaz Bughio and others also spoke on the occasion.

Lecture: Abdul Samad Kazi, senior research scientist at VTT, a technical research centre in Finland, delivered a lecture on Management of Information in the Knowledge Driven E-Economy at the Isra University, here on Saturday.

He said that access to and management of information in the new knowledge driven e-economy was seen as a key ingredient to decision making.

He pointed out that traditional organizations were now giving way to a new breed of smart organisztions as geographic and demographic boundaries increasingly ceased to exist.
