FOR the past year I have seen this sorry vehicle being ravaged by the elements of nature with no end in sight. At first it was humorous but now it is a stark reminder of incompetence and misrule.

After spending more than 365 days in the harsh sun, it is covered with dust with ironic messages of love (and swastikas) traced out. Its tyres are flat and the interior is completely destroyed.

The crowning glory of this is a green government of Sindh number plate. This vehicle was obviously paid for with tax-payers’ money, and its current state is a sad reflection of what ends up to such funds.
