LAHORE, July 17: Rank outsider four-year-old bay filly, Pawan, outclassed her six rivals by storming home to an easy success in the feature event over 1100m during the Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

The filly from King Of Saxony out-of-Miss Computer, Pawan, led the field with High Dream, Safe And Sound and Puma The Great, right from the start.

Pawan covered the 1100m distance in one min 8 2/5 sec on the dust track in class IV division I and II handicap race.

This was the last of the six event card. A race earlier another long shot four-year-old filly, Puma’s Princess beat fancied Where Or When by over two lengths to win the supporting and fifth race run over 1100 metres.

Lucky Mayla and Silver Queen finished third and fourth, respectively.

The best performer of the day’s card was the three-year-old filly, Miss Photogenic, who dictated her pace over her five rivals when she ran away from the field to win easily.
