LAHORE, July 17: The railway authorities are still keeping a mum about the people missing in the accident at the Sarhad railway station on July 13. Over two dozens such queries were received at the help centres set up at various railway stations on July 14 and the number rose to 150 or so on Sunday, sources said.
“Of the 137 people confirmed dead so far by the railway authorities, the identity of 72 could not be ascertained and they were buried in the Ghotki graveyard.
“The authorities are still working on the reservation data and not bothering about the people who embarked either from the origin of the trains or from any other station without reservation, especially on Karachi and Quetta expresses,” they said.— Staff Reporter
