KARACHI: The postponed tour of Pakistan under-19 outfit, to Sri Lanka, has been rescheduled for the last week of this month.

The tour was in jeopardy due to a series of deadly bombings in Sri Lanka last month in which nearly 200 people died.

“We are going through the last leg of formalities of briefing relevant quarters about the situation in Sri Lanka and getting necessary approvals. The tour is very much on,” a board official confirmed this correspondent.

The Pakistan Under-19 team was set to leave for Colombo on April 30 to play a couple of four-day games followed by three one-day matches against the hosts.

“As per the proposed schedule, Pakistan will leave for Sri Lanka on May 23 now and will stay there till July 6. All matches of the series will be played in one city, Hambantota”, the official added.
