PESHAWAR: Former world champion Jansher Khan on Friday inaugurated the Ramazan summer squash camp for Under-9 and Under-11 boys and girls here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Friday.

The camp will continue for 25 days.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association president Qamar Zaman, PAF Squash Academy head coach Atlas Khan, former world No. 10 Amjad Khan, PAF coaches Gulab Sher, Maqsood Hanif, Nazir Khan, Kamran Khan, Riaz Khan, member executive committee and head cBlue Tone Squash Academy Wazir Gul, KP Squash Association secretary Munawar Zman and Sher Bahadar Khan were also present on this occasion.

Qamar, who is also vice-president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), said that the summer camp is an annual feature of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association activity calendar wherein more than 80 boys and girls are part of the camp for this year. He said during the camp matches would also be organised among the players of the camp, adding the position holders would be awarded cash prizes and trophies.

Jansher congratulated the KP Squash Association for holding the camp on regular basis which he said would give the opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talent. He also lauded the PSF for its concerted efforts in promoting squash across the country.
