MINGORA: A famous Pashto dancer and singer was shot dead by her husband here on Tuesday.

According to Mingora police, Shaukat Ali opened fire at his wife, Meena, over a domestic issue, leaving her seriously injured. The incident took place just before Iftar.

“She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital while her husband fled the scene. The police started searching for the accused after registering a case against him,” Tariq, SHO Banr police station, said. However, the accused was still at large till filing of this report on Tuesday evening.
