THE University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, is one of the top-ranked engineering universities in Pakistan with its graduates working all over the world.

Regrettably, one faces utter disappointment on seeing the working of the university’s student section responsible for dealing with the student fee and scholarship.

Candidates awarded scholarships by departments and educational boards have not been given their scholarship cheques for many years. Every time one visits the student section, one is told to come some other day.

This cycle goes on for months and years. Even students who passed out of UET two years ago, have still not received their scholarship amounts despite repeated visits to administration section.

The authorities concerned should look into this matter to expedite scholarship amount disbursement to students as there are many of those who during their study at university rely solely on scholarships for their educational and day-to-day expenditures.
