QUETTA, July 14: The Quetta traffic police has introduced ticket system replacing the production of charge sheet before a magistrate for violation of traffic rules in order to save the precious time of people from a lengthy court process. Speaking at a press conference in the press club on Thursday, the superintendent of traffic police, Azam Khan, stated that the provincial government has amended the motor vehicle ordinance introducing a new system.

He said that through the new system fine could be deposited in one of the nine branches of the bank located at different spots of the provincial capital.

He said that 15 per cent reward for outstanding performance by traffic policemen would be awarded from the recovery of fine.

Mr Azam said that the drivers of vehicles from other cities or towns would benefit from this system as they would no longer be required to stay in Quetta after being charge sheeted as they could just deposit the fine in a bank.—Correspondent
