KARACHI, July 14: A 35-year-old woman gave birth to four babies, three females and one male, here at a local hospital in Metroville on Thursday. According to the hospital administrator, Mrs Nasreen, wife of a loom worker Khizar Hayat, gave birth to four babies on Thursday at 11.45am. Resident of Orangi Town’s Bismillah Colony, the woman had her first delivery.

Doctors said that all her babies were born under weight, as weight of one baby was 0.6kg, other’s 0.7kg and remaining two had weight of 0.8kg each.

Three babies are said to have respiratory problems, while condition of one baby is termed out of danger. “All the four babies are kept in incubators and health status of three babies suffering from respiratory disturbance will be determined in next 24 hours,” the hospital administrator added.—APP
