Speaking at a seminar titled ‘Sustainable investment and development’ jointly organised by German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and SCCI at a local hotel on Thursday, he said that public and private sectors should make planning and formulate policies jointly for sustainable economic development and prosperity.

He suggested that government and private institutions should sit together and jointly frame such policies that could be proved fruitful and supportive.

Mr Faizi recalled that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had adversely suffered in term of financial and human losses due to terrorism. He added that the region hosted Afghan refugees. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was bestowed with huge potentials. “If these are utilised effectively, then we can make progress,” he added.

Other leaders of the chamber including Zahidullah Shinwari, Eng Saad Khan and Haris Mufti while speaking on the occasion thanked the GIZ and government institutions for taking such good initiative. They stressed the need for joint working for development and prosperity in future.
