KARACHI: Brilliant centuries by Ammad Alam and Zeeshan Haider inspired Malir Gymkhana to whooping 174-run defeat of Youngster Gymkhana in their KCCA Zone-IV third Phase tie of the PCB Fazal Mahmood National Club Cricket Championship here on Monday.

Batting firs at the Pak Star Ground, Malir Gymkhana amassed 279-1 in 35 overs. Ammad banged 154 off 126 balls with 15 fours and five sixes, while Zeeshan 11 boundaries and a brace of sixes in an 83-ball 102.

Ammad and Zeeshan later picked up five wickets between them with their off-spinners as Youngster Gymkhana were shot out for a paltry 105 in 19.4 overs.
