ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari met with children from Sweet Homes on Sunday and announced foreign scholarship awards for deserving position-holders.

Mr Zardari met with the children at Zardari House.

He said during their visit that it was apparent that children were victims of terrorism and their loved ones had been taken from them.

He said their commitment towards attaining knowledge was commendable and their determination was what the country needs.

He said he was delighted to meet the children and was impressed by their achievements, and announced foreign scholarship awards from position-holders.

Sweet Homes Chairman Zamurrad Khan was also present.
