Ahmer defeats Pinto in thriller

KARACHI, Jan 12: Ahmer Shaikh notched-up a thrilling 3-2 win over Julius Pinto to move into the knock-out round of Sindh Cup snooker championship at Indus Club Saturday.

Ahmer lost the first two frames 44-48, 48-60. However showing superb potting and positional play he won the next three frames 56-55, 48-39, 58-35 to qualify for the next stage.

Najam-ur-Rehman smashed the breaks of 52 and 49 in the first two frames in his 3-0 triumph against Ahad Ali Shah. Following are the results of 3rd round.
