ISLAMABAD: Syed Fakhar Imam, who heads the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, said on Wednesday that the days were over when India used to mislead the world by painting Kashmiris as terrorists.

He was speaking to a delegation of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement, headed by Raja Najabat Hussain. He was accompanied by Amna Ansari, a former member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly.

Mr Imam expressed concern over the latest developments in India-held Kashmir and slammed the assurance held out by the Bharatiya Janata Party in its election manifesto to scrap Article 370 of the Indian constitution, which conferred a special status on Jammu and Kashmir.
