GUJRANWALA, July 11: Police and workers on Monday arrested two alleged robbers, who were fleeing away after looting the cash van of a soap factory, while their third accomplice managed to escape. Reports said three outlaws looted the cash van near Atawa bypass intersection. The factory owner informed DPO Dr Arif Mushtaq about the incident, who ordered Sadar police to take prompt action.

The police reached the spot and nabbed two robbers with the help of some factory workers when they were fleeing along with the looted cash, while the third escaped on a motorcycle. The looted amount and illicit arms were recovered from the robbers.

The outlaws, who were also wanted by police in a dozen other robbery cases, were identified as Muhammad Ali Alias Kala Butt and Sohail Alias Pomi Butt, while the third was identified as Ghulfam.

The DPO announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the members of the raiding party.
