OKARA: Dozens of children with special needs protested on Monday against the non-availability of bus to their Haveli Lakkaha school for the last seven months.

The bus used to pick and drop students within the radius of 30 kilometres.

Now, several students have been deprived of schooling because of the non-availability of the bus. They demanded Deputy Commissioner Maryam Khan take notice of the situation.

DEATH: An elderly woman died when a pistol her son was cleaning went off in village 19/1R on Monday, police said. Constable Sheraz said he was cleaning the pistol in the house which went off and the bullet hit his mother Razia Bibi, who died instantly. The Satgarh police registered a case.

CASE: A man with the help of his family members shaved the head and eyebrows of his wife in mohalla Shah near Hujra Shah Muqmeem, The police registered a case against Muhammad Arshad on the complaint of his wife Bushra Bibi.
