HYDERABAD: A meeting held in Jamshoro on Monday decided to finalise strategy against encroachers of government land and start scrutiny of fake entries in the revenue record to be cancelled.

It also discussed details of operations to be launched for retrieving 13,264 acres of land in the district.

Presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Shaukat Ali Ujjan, the meeting was attended by district forest officer (DFO) Mukhtiar Ali Mallah, assistant commissioners concerned, officials of anti-encroachment cell and others. The DFO informed the meeting that 58,479 acres of forest land is located in Jamshoro, out of which 13,264 remained in the illegal occupation of influential people.
