SHEIKHUPURA: Two suspects ransacked court furniture and allegedly thrashed the additional district and sessions judge after rejection of their pre-arrest bail petitions here on Wednesday at Ferozwala.

Suspects Naveed and Rafique were produced in the court of AD&SJ Husnain Qadir Ghilu in a case. The judge after hearing arguments of their counsel rejected the bail pleas to which they allegedly ransacked the court furniture, smashed window glasses and made derogatory remarks against the judge. They allegedly thrashed the judge as well.

The police and judicial staff present in the court didn’t arrest the suspects who managed their escape.

Later, the Sheikhupura Young Lawyers Association in an emergency meeting chaired by president Rana Adeel Anjum Advocate condemned hooliganism in the court and demanded that the police arrest the suspects.
