THIS is apropos a photo published on front page of Dawn Metro (March 8) of a large crowd outside the branch of a private bank in Gulshan-i-Iqbal where application forms for the newly launched low-cost housing scheme of Malir Development Authority are available.

The caption of the picture says that the housing project has been launched in Taiser Town situated in MDA scheme 45.

We were allotted a 240-square yards plot of land in Taiser Town by the MDA through ballot on Feb 27, 2007. It is now over 12 years we have been trying to get possession of our land with no result.

The local government minister should look into this in inordinate delay.
