PESHAWAR, July 7: A boulder struck a house in a village in the remote Shangla district on Wednesday night, killing three members of a family, two of them women, and injuring another, officials said. They said that the rock hit the house of Amir Rehman in Khut Koor village in Shangla district, about 300 kilometres north of here.
As a result, Omar Rehman, 17, Khatoon Bibi and Gul Socha, the wife of Amir Rehman, died and Wazir Bibi, 16, sustained injuries.
Police officials said that soon after the incident, the villagers rushed to the house and recovered the bodies and the wounded girl from debris. The injured girl was taken to a hospital in the area.
