KARACHI: SSC exams from March 1

KARACHI, Jan 12: The annual examinations 2002 of 9th and 10th classes of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi will commence from March 1, the chairman of the BSEK, Mohammad Aziz Ansari, said on Saturday.

He said 270,000 candidates were expected to appear in the examinations for which a timetable was being prepa-red.

The practical examinations would commence from April 2, the Board chairman added.

He said workshops would be conducted prior to the commencement of the examinations for the centre superintendents, group leaders/centre control officers and vigilance officers.

The EDOs and the officers of the city district government, besides army monitoring teams would be involved in the supervision of the process to check any chance of copying, he added.—APP
