KARACHI, July 5: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman has sought details from the provincial secretary agriculture about milk plant project. He called for convening a meeting in this regard with participation of all stakeholders so that the project could be completed in the wake of the progress made during the last three years and supply of hygienic milk to people could be ensured.

The chief secretary emphasized the need for adopting an effective strategy in making the milk plant functional and said the proposed meeting in this respect be convened within a week.

Meanwhile, the chief secretary has called for a detailed presentation of Prime Minister’s Sindh Committee on Prices.

On his directive, the planning and development department has asked secretary agriculture to ensure this presentation in the July 7 meeting to be held under the chairmanship of chief secretary so that effective measures could be taken to discourage artificial price hike, hoarding and illegal profiteering.
