KARACHI: A small yet competitive three-race card has been drawn for the winter Gymkhana race meeting that is slated to take place at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

Acceptors show the races envisaged 28 horses with highest number of 12 fielded in the first race, The Multan Plate Scale Order VIII to be run over four furlongs.

Sala Star will run under new name of Red Star in the opening race.

Another four-year-old horse Billions In Mind will make his appearance in the second race after a long layoff. He last appeared in 2017 Nursery Cup.

The third race which is the days feature event, scale order III and IV to be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs, has seven starters.

The first race gets into action at 3.30pm.
