ISLAMABAD: Sarah Mahboob Khan added yet another feather to her cap as she clinched the Subh e Nau NBP Ladies National Tennis title here at PTF Tennis Complex on Saturday.

Sarah defeated Sara Mansoor in straight sets following up on her sem-final win against Zoha Asim while Sara Mansoor qualified for the final after beating Shimza Naz.

The finalists also clinched the ladies’ doubles title after beating Esha Jawad and Mahvish Chishtie.

Shimza won girls’ U-18 title after beating Zoha in a match which lasted for more than two hours and concluded with the latter’s retirement due to injury.

Haniya Mihnas, eight, did not only win the girls’ U-14 title by beating Amna Ali but also clinched the U-10 title on Friday evening.

Ladies’ singles semi-finals: Sara Mansoor bt Shimza Naz 6-1, 6-1; Sarah Mahboob bt Zoha Asim 6-1, 7-6 (8).

Ladies’ singles final: Sarah Mahboob bt Sara Mansoor 6-2, 6-3

Girls’ U-14 final: Haniya Minhas bt Amna Ali 4-2, 4-0.

Girls’ U-14 final: Shimza Naz bt Zoha Asim 2-6, 6-4, 4-2.

Ladies’ doubles semi-finals: Sara Mansoor/Sarah Mahboob bt Meheq Khokhar/Zoha Asim 6-2, 6-2; Mahvish Chishtie/Esha Jawad bt Mariam Mirza/Nida Akram 6-1, 6-2.

Ladies’ doubles final: Sara Mansoor/Sarah Mahboob bt Mahvish Chishtie/Esha Jawad 6-0, 6-0.
