FPSC examinations

Published February 12, 2019

THE Federal Public Service is tasked with conducting central superior services exams, besides recruitment to various in federal government departments.

Recently the FPSC conducted recruitment tests for 157 posts of FIA Inspector Investigation in BPS 16. I was one of the candidates who sat the exam.

The staff and atmosphere in the exam was amiable. However, the FPSC’s outdated method of conducting the test can be improved. The test had no carbon copy of the answer sheet.

Unlike other testing services, the FPSC doesn’t provide candidates with one to check the score. Other testing services also upload the answer keys to their website so that candidates can check their marks and evaluate their performance. This ensures transparency.

The FPSC chairman should look into this issue and order necessary upgrades where possible.
