Eaglets triumph

LAHORE, July 3: Fine attacking by strikers helped Eaglets Club register a credible 3-0 win over New Khan on the second day of the Lahore district Inter-club hockey championship on Sunday.

The winners scored all three goals in the first session. Right-in, Athar Saleem, who was also declared man-of-the-match, gave the Eaglets an early lead when he struck a field goal in the 5th minute.

Inside-left Nadeem doubled the lead in the 13th minute.

He received an angular pass from Athar in the circle and struck the goal with a first timer.

Masood Bari sealed the fate of the match in the 25th minute.
