No electricity

SCORES of plot owners in Abuzer Ghaffari Cooperative Housing Society in Scheme-33, Karachi, are in a quandary. They cannot start construction of their houses because there is no electricity supply for more than 20 hours a day in their area.

Phase I of the society located in Sector-53/A of Scheme 33 has been without electricity for more than a month and the power utility authorities have not rectified the fault.

The power utility officials say not many houses are constructed in this portion of the society, and it is not in their priority to repair faults on an emergency basis in such localities.

The society members are keen to construct their houses and having electricity supply would make matters easier for them. They request the power utility to ensure supply to their locality.
