NAWABSHAH, July 3: The Nawabshah taluka has been divided on political grounds and the decision will be challenged in a court. This was stated by former District Nazim Faryal Talpur while speaking at a press conference at the Zardari House on Sunday.

MPAs Ahmed Ali Jalbani, Ghulam Qadir Chandio and Tariq Masood Arain were present on the occasion.

Ms Talpur said union council Gupchani, which was included in the Nawabshah taluka from the Sanghar district on administrative grounds, was merged into the newly-created Daur taluka which was 40 kilometres away from the union council.

Similarly, UC Jam Sahib and two Dehs of the Sakrand taluka — Deh Mari Khabar of the UC Khabar and Deh Chhan Babu of the UC Karam Ali Jamali — were included in Daur taluka which was totally an injustice to the people, she added.

The people of the area would have to travel a long way upto Daur taluka for their routine works passing through Nawabshah.

She blamed the PML and the MQM of planning unnatural division for their political interests.

The former nazim said it was a matter of survival for the people of the affected areas who would suffer for injustice done to them.

Terming the decision as a move to divide people onrural and urban basis, she pledged to challenge the matter in a court for justice and relief.
