HYDERABAD, July 3: A large number of people from Manjhand taluka, Jamshoro district, staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday in protest against what they called illegal shifting of the taluka headquarters from Manjhand to Sann.

Talking to reporters, former Nazim UC Manjhand, Shahid Hussain Kachhi, Shehri Ittehad chairman Saleh Memon and Khadim Chachar of the Rajooni Ittehad said that according to the Sindh government notification, the taluka headquarter of the new taluka Manjhand was at Manjhand.

They said that DCO Jamshoro in flagrant violation of government orders had shifted all the taluka offices to Sann.

They demanded that the taluka offices should be shifted back to Manjhand as per the government notification.

They threatened to block the Indus Highway and resort to hunger strike unto death if their demand was not accepted.
