PESHAWAR: Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi on Tuesday organised an event during which they launched the team kit and anthem for the fourth edition of PSL starting later this month.

The event, organised here at the Governor House, was attended by Zalmi captain Darren Sammy, franchise chairman Javed Afridi.

Artists Gul Panra, Zeek Afridi and Sahir Ali Bagga entertained the participants of the event.

Sammy landed in Islamabad earlier this morning and was greeted by fans at the airport. Later, the West Indies player visited Army Public School to pay tribute to the martyrs of 2014 APS terror attack.

The event attended by a huge number of fans featured Sammy, along with other Zalmi players Umaid Asif, Kamran Akmal and Ibtisam Sheikh, and Zalmi brand ambassadors Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sana Javed.

Meanwhile, Javed and Sammy met the DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor in Peshawar.

While welcoming Sammy on behalf of Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, the DG ISPR thanked the West Indies cricketer Sammy for coming to Pakistan.

“The way Sammy loves the people of Pakistan, our people love him too,” Asif said while speaking on the occasion, and wished him the best of luck for the forthcoming PSL.
