LAHORE: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on Saturday took on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for what he said ‘playing with’ the emotions of the victim family of Sahiwal tragedy.

“Why is CM Buzdar reluctant to constitute a judicial commission to investigate the incident? Hasn’t he (Buzdar) heard the cries of Muniba (minor daughter of slain Khalil)”? Hamza said at a press conference here on Saturday.

He said the whole nation wanted justice in this case as the culprits should be hanged where they had killed Khalil and his family.

Talking about the PML-N’s initiative for creation of new provinces in the south, Hamza said his party had moved a resolution in the National Assembly in this regard. He said the PML-N government had launched a number of development projects in the south Punjab.

He said he would go to the people of the south and tell them about the ‘false’ promise of the PTI government with them.

He said the PTI government was taking credit for those agreements and projects which the PML-N had initiated. “I want to tell the ‘selected prime minister’ that visa policy with 175 countries and Swiss Bank agreements were made by our government,” he said.
