KARACHI, July 2: Eight ships carrying palm oil, steel scrap and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Wan Hai-263, Sagamore, Dubai Iland, CMA CGM Karibu, to unload and load containers, Alexia to offload urea and Parslan to offload and load general cargo, were berthed.

Five ships — Kota Mesra, Hamony, Dubai Island, Golden Sky and Sun Great —departed on Saturday, while Sondos, Wan Hai-263, Celtic Terrier, Johar, Sagamore, Sunniva, CMA CGM Karibu and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 88,647 tons comprising 25,430 tons of export cargo, including 1,568 tons of cement and 63,217 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Stolt Vision, Fair Chem Unicorn, Yananseni, with chemicals, Shalamar, with crude oil, Bunga Melati-3, with 7,000 tons of palm oil, Manila Bay, Troyburg, with containers, and Rubin Stella, with 25,000 tons of steel scrap.

The following ships are due on Monday: Bagi, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Ever Gather, with containers, and Rickmers Chennai, with 5,961 tons of steel coils.
