KARACHI: The Awami Colony police on Wednesday registered a case against two policemen for allegedly wounding a man and his pregnant wife while resorting to “uncalled for” firing on two fleeing armed motorcyclists who had snatched an official rifle from one of them on Jan 20 in Korangi-5, an official said.

The case was registered on behalf of the state through Awami Colony SHO against the policemen and two fleeing suspects.

The police have invoked relevant sections of the law against two unidentified suspects and held two policemen, identified as constable Zahir Shah and constable Abdul Majeed.
