KHAIRPUR, June 30: Residents of the Sui town of Thari Mirwah taluka and 10 adjoining villages took out a procession on Thursday on the Nawabshah-Khairpur road against load-shedding of electricity for 10-12 hours daily for last one week. The protesters blocked the road for about one hour due to which the vehicular traffic remained suspended.

They also burnt tyres and raised slogans against the Hesco.

The protesters said that villagers were facing hardships due to continuous power failure and load-shedding. The Mirwah police reached on the spot and got the road opened.
