LAHORE: The Dolphin Squad police on Thursday arrested a woman for making a hoax call about a “bomb” planted in the flight of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The police later lodged a criminal case against the suspect when during investigation she claimed she had made the call “just for fun”.

A police official said an emergency was declared when the police received a call on their helpline 15 that a “bomb” had been planted in the plane of the PM.

On tracing the caller’s location, the police came to know that the hoax call was made by a woman resident of Sodiwal area, Iram Hameed.

On being grilled, she told the police that as she had no work to do at home, she made the hoax call just for fun.

She further told the police that she was not aware of the consequences of the “fun call”.

The Nawankot police have registered a case against the suspect.
