TAXILA: A gang of seven highway robbers, posing as passengers, deprived two persons of cash and valuables on Saturday.

Mohammad Afzal, who recently returned from Saudi Arabia, reported to Hassanabdal police that he along with his friend Ali Hassan boarded a van from Rawalpindi.

When they reached near Burhan, seven men boarded a van and held them hostage.

The robbers then snatched cash and valuables from them and pushed them out of the van before escaping. Police have registered a case.
