SUKKUR: Eminent multilingual singer Mohammad Bux Pitafi, who sang songs in Sindhi, Urdu, Seraiki, Balochi and Punjabi for Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television and various private TV channels, besides performing at music programmes for more than three decades, passed away at Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan late on Thursday evening. He was laid to rest in a graveyard in Mirpur Mathelo town of Ghotki district on Friday.

Pitafi had been under treatment for some liver disease for the last six months.

A large number of his admirers including folk artists, political and literary figures, activists of social and cultural organisations and community elders, besides the bereaved family, relatives and friends, attended the funeral.
