Irfan bowls Nawabshah to victory

HYDERABAD, June 24: A devastating spell by Irfran Ali who claimed five wickets for 20 runs enabled Nawabshah U-19 to win the final of Inter-district Hyderabad region at Niaz stadium beating Hyderabad by one wicket.

Winning the toss Hyderabad who elected to bat first were bowled out for 195 in 64.5 overs with Afzal Ali (39), Sharjeel Khan (33) and Abdul Ghafoor (35) scoring bulk of runs.

Nawabshah achieved the target in 84.5 overs by losing nine wickets. Shahzad Hyder (44), Umair Ali (33) and Anees Ahmed (36 not out) ensured victory for their team.

Noman Ali (4/52) and Sharjeel (3/24) shared the bowling honours.
