ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza on Thursday said that National Games must be organised and the federal government is ready to play its role.

After chairing the first meeting of the Federal Government Sports Coordination Committee (FSCC) at the Pakistan Sports Complex, the minister told reporters that the games were slated to be held in Balochistan, but for a variety of reasons they put off several times, while the last edition was held in 2012.

The IPC minster, meanwhile, said that her ministry has decided to advertise post of Director General Pakistan Sports Board, a position lying vacant after the retirement of Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjerea last year.
