The federal government has announced that it will recruit 2,200 Baloch youth in the National Highways and Motorways Police, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.

Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed in an interview said the educated youth of Balochistan will be recruited to the state institution to integrate them into the mainstream.

The decision was made for the benefit of Baloch youth following the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Saeed said.

The minister mentioned that the quota of Balochistan in federal jobs is only six per cent according to rules. He said the development of Balochistan was among the top priorities of the incumbent government.

The minister urged the Baloch youth to come forward and play their part in serving the nation.

Good initiative but, the picture is highly misleading because it shows police riding super-bikes which come at a price of over a million rupees each. A several billion rupees experiment.

Baluch youth want some thing more dear to their heart. Work on that.2200 youths on motor cycle is not going to helpuch.

Good initiative but i doubt balouch will be tempted. Army and other govt organization have been trying for last so many years for recruitment but have failed as the youth there dont like to work especially for govt.

people are happy reading this announcement but do they really know the price of the motor bike in the picture? it is almost 2 million rupees per unit and that 2200 bike makes 4400 milion rupees , add fuel, salaries to the riders, maintenance. I think at this stage we can't even afford bicycles let motorcycles alone

Excellent idea. Give young people to participate in stopping the crime for safety and security of the people. If this program is successful, than do the same thing for many other places in the country.

Educate Baloch youth because as we all know quota system never works. This new quota will create a bigger problem of bribery, terror and so much more. Put some sense into planning, educate them so they learn how to earn Halal Rizk with honesty. Let's learn from the past mistakes of the quota system that is already in place and we all know it is not working.

A good news about our Balochistan unemployed. The people from urban Sindh badly affected by long standing quota system, and now more unemployment due to removal of shops action like bull entered in a crockery shop, devastated the livelihood of thousands, CJP please help.

About time that someone has started thinking about Baluchistan. The government should start some medium sized development projects in the province as well. With CPEC, the focus should shift to the development of Baluchistan and creation of employment opportunities to reverse the trend of people moving to already crowded urban centres like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, etc. This would, in turn, ensure better distribution of resources as well.
