QUETTA June 23: Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has said that the administration has been directed to ensure that the by-elections in PB-12 Qila Abdullah-II are held in transparent, fair and impartial manner. He chaired a high level meeting here on Thursday which was attended by member election commission Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari, federal secretary election commission Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, provincial chief secretary K B Rind and other high officials.

Justice Dogar said that voters could use both old and computerized national identity cards in the by-polls of PB-12, schedule for July 9.

He, however, made it clear that voters would not be allowed to use photostat or attested copies of their NICs.

Chief Secretary K B Rind on this occasion stated that to ensure law and order, Frontier Corps and Balochistan reserve police would be deployed at and around the polling stations on the polling day.
