KARACHI, June 23: Seven ships carrying palm oil, DAP fertilizer and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Kota Waruna, Hyundai Future, Y.M.Star, Iran Piroozi to unload and load containers, Bolan to offload and load general cargo and NCC Riyad, to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of five ships.
The departed ships included Hyudani Futures, APL Pusan, Ever Gather, Kota Waruna and Chemstar Brave, while Lalazar, Carla, Iran Piroozi and Golden Express are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.124m tons comprising 31,628 tons of export cargo including 4,238 tons of rice and 1,701 tons of cement and 92,091 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Friday: Ariella, with 31,366 tons of DAP fertilizer, Bow Fraternity, with 19,000 tons of palm oil, Itah Bhum, Wan Hai-267, Thor Capitan, with containers and Bao Longmen, with 9,605 tons of machinery.
