Whose city is this?

Published November 28, 2018

ALTHOUGH Bilawal House is situated in Clifton’s Block 2 where there are a number of malls and departmental stores, the entire civic structure, including roads and gutter lines, is in tatters. Most green areas have been encroached upon and garages set up in parking areas of apartment buildings. Many restaurants function till late night. The KMC, anti-encroachment cell and the Environmental Proctection Agency do not seem to worry as stray dogs roam the street.

Below the Marina elevation flats, near the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, where I reside, some 15,000 yards of land has been grabbed by garage owners. They use gasoline and do chemical works and thus endanger life. The relevant authorities should act to protect the people. All illegal garages and restaurants must be wound up.
