CHARSADDA: Two labourers were electrocuted and another was seriously injured when they were installing an electricity pole in Behlola area of Charsadda district on Saturday.

The police registered an FIR on the complaint of Raham Zeb, brother of one of the victims, Umar Zada.

He told the police that Umar and two other labourers identified as Imran and Ayub had been engaged by a local contractor, Mir Akbar, for work. He said on the day of occurrence, the contractor had asked the three labourers to install an electricity pole.

He said when the labourers were installing the pylon they suffered an electric shock. As a result, Umar and Imran died on the spot, while Ayub was seriously injured. He was shifted to Peshawar in precarious condition.

The police registered the case and started investigation.
