APROPROS the editorial ‘Another bailout for PIA’ (Nov 14). I feel this editorial is misleading.
Pakistan International Airliens has thousands of dedicated, honest and hardworking employees who have not committed any crimes. Hence, it is inappropriate to suggest that they are getting some sort of bail as a criminal would need for temporary respite for his/her misdeeds.
The bailout is for those individuals who have committed criminal negligence in running the national flag carrier. I feel a more appropriate headline would have been ‘Govt bails itself out for PIA’.
