Driver’s licence

Published November 16, 2018

THIS is apropos the letter ‘Driver’s licence’ (Nov 9). No doubt that converting the book licence to card is such a difficult task that I being a senior citizen, who was issued the driving licence in year 1970 finds it immensely disturbing to keep waiting in line for conversion to card.

Do I still need a learner’s licence first for obtaining the computerised licence? My licence book is valid till year 2021.

I suggestion inspector-general of Sindh and DIG traffic (licensing and training) Sindh, to consider all licence books issued on or before year 1975 valid or senior citizens of over 70 years be exempted from this exercise. This will bring a lot of relief to senior citizens.
