TIMERGARA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA from Lower Dir Mohammad Bashir Khan has said that the government would provide gas connections to the people irrespective of their political affiliations.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating gas supply to Rabat here the other day, he claimed that earlier gas connections in the district were provided to people on political basis. MNA Mehboob Shah, MPA Azam Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.

It was the first development work inaugurated in Lower Dir after the general elections.

Bashir Khan claimed that the former rulers had destroyed the economy for their personal gains while the PTI government was trying to overcome the circular debt left by the previous government. He said that the gas supply project was approved during the previous government.

Azam Khan said that the government was planning to put water supply tube wells on solar power, which would solve the problem of water shortage in the district. Mehboob Shah claimed that branch offices of banks and Nadra would soon be opened in different areas here.

Meanwhile, former president of PTI, Saudi Arabia chapter, Mohammad Ali demanded of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to give one ministry to an MPA elected from Lower Dir. Talking to mediapersons here, he said that PTI had won four of five provincial assembly seats in the district. He said that the party had also won two National Assembly seats in Lower Dir.

ROAD MISHAP: Three persons were injured when a truck hit a car and coach at Rani area in Balambat here on Tuesday. The injured were identified as daughter of Umar Zada of Wari Upper Dir, Bilal of Khall and Ikram of Rabat. They were taken to DHQ hospital, Timergara, where their condition was stated to be out of danger. Balambat police have registered the case.
